Consistency is key for sleep – regular sleep and wake times. Not always possible in the lead up to Christmas! Here are Hayley Dawes from Dreem Distillery’s top tips to help you sleep as well as possible:
Morning sunlight – within 20 minutes of waking up, in your eyes. Getting sunlight in your eyes first thing in the morning is absolutely vital to mental and physical health. It is perhaps the most important thing that any and all of us can and should do in order to promote metabolic well-being, promote the positive function of your hormone system, get your mental health steering in the right direction.
Have some fun but note that alcohol will send you to sleep but you will wake in the night and most likely have a hangover!
Watch the sunset (or at least go outside during the late afternoon).
Once the sun goes down, dim the lights and use tabletop lamps. Turn off all electronics and read a book to wind down. Try taking Dreem Distillery Night Drops 30 minutes before sleep, to really ease into a deep, restorative sleep and wake up feeling refreshed.
