Once again, here in the UK we are in lockdown for Mother’s Day, but with the relaxing of restrictions on the horizon I’m hoping many of you are feeling more positive moving forward. It’s been incredibly tough, and still is incredibly tough, to not be able to spend days like this with loved ones… whether it’s your mother or a mother figure in your life or someone else. So we have curated a list of a few things you can do with her – whether you’re physically with her or not. We’re all in this together and let’s all support each other through this.

Organise a video chat: if you’re both stuck at home, you could organise a video chat to let them know you’re thinking of them – and a chance to catch up and check in.

Buy a voucher: Support a business and also make a plan for the future: why not by them a gift voucher for an experience like an afternoon tea or a spa. One that you don’t need to book immediately – so once we have a clearer idea on what is happening, you can celebrate together then. You can check out a range of Afternoon Tea’s here.

Send flowers: If both you and your loved ones are self -isolated separately, why not get flowers sent to them – perhaps something like letterbox flowers so they still know you’re thinking about them, even if you can’t be together on the day. Why not try something like Prestige Flowers.

Send a food hamper: this can be both a practical gift as well as a thoughtful one. Why not send a gift hamper which includes some of their favourite goodies for them to enjoy. This website is one suggestion for you.

Create an at home spa: if you are able to be with your loved ones this Mother’s Day, why not have a little spa afternoon at home? This could include your favourite facial treatments, we’d recommend the Elemis Cleansing Balm which we’ve reviewed before here and the Sarah Chapman 3D moisture infusion masks, which we included in a previous post here. You could also a do a manicure and pedicure with your favourite nail brand… we’ve been loving the Nailberry range recently. They have non-toxic, permeable & vegan polishes which have gorgeous colour payoff.

You can also relax with a nice foot bath – these magnesium foot bath salts from Better You are fab to promote relaxation and boost your magnesium levels.

If you have any suggestions of your own about what to do this Mother’s Day, do leave a comment and we hope that you’re able to make it a good day.
