Those of you who are regular readers must know by now that I love a good face serum! I don’t think that a day has gone by in the last 5 years at least without me including a serum in my daily skincare routine. This Perricone MD serum has become one my favourites for several reasons…

Here’s why in a nutshell:

  • It’s a fast-absorbing, non greasy serum.
  • It gives the skin a dewy glow.
  • This serum is jam-packed with chia oil.
  • Over time this lush serum leaves the skin deeply moisturised and nourished.

What it does:

This serum adds moisture and leaves my skin feeling nourished and supple, which is always a winner for me… plus I love the glow that it leaves my skin with. I tend to use it in the morning after my Vitamin C serum and before my moisturiser, although it feels so hydrating that sometimes I skip the moisturiser altogether.

The brand say that you can apply the serum during the day, that you should shake well before use and it can also be mixed in with your moisturiser. It doesn’t feel greasy at all, it just leaves my skin nourished and glowy.

What’s in it

Chia oil is of course one of the main ingredients and is considered to be one of the highest plant sources of Omega 3 fatty acids.

This serum also has a formulation of fat soluble vitamins mixed in to add to its potency.

It is also paraben-free.

All about Chia

Chia oils contains essential fatty acids, alpha-linolenic and linoleic acid, Vitamins A, B, E, and D, and minerals including sulphur, iron, iodine, magnesium, manganese, niacin, thiamine.

The seeds tare a rich source of anti-oxidants… so whether you eat them or use infused products like this serum, you are onto a winner with this powerhouse of a product.
