I don’t know about you, but if you’re anything like me you like to have a tube of hand cream in your bag at all times , I mean there’s nothing worse than washing your hands and discovering that you’ve forgotten your handcream. Even worse is when you get your hands on a lotion or cream that superficially moisturises for about 2 or 3 minutes…and then vanishes. So this review is for you. These hand creams all have 1 thing in common: they are all wonderfully rich and deeply Nourishing which means that each of these will transform your dry hands. So have a read and choose according to the ingredients and fragrance that you like, safe in the knowledge that these babies work!
Rodial Stem Cell Super food hand cream
This makes my top 7 because it really works thanks to its fabulous ingredients that make it a really effective hand cream. It moisturises the hands without leaving a greasy residue, just nicely nourished hands with a light rose scent.
• Shea Butter: Contains fatty acids and is a good source of Vitamins A and E which help strenghten the skin.
• Grapeseed Oil: Repair and protect the skin.
• Vitamin B3: Improves skin softness and reduces the appearance of skin aging.
• Stem Cell (PhytoCellTec Alp Rose): Helps improve the skin barrier function.
Burts Bees Almond and milk hand cream
This rich cream makes the list because it contains sweet almond oil and vitamin E to help hydrate and shield dry skin and beeswax to seal and condition the skin, which means that if you have very dry skin & use it consistently you’ll notice a difference. This cream is very comforting to use, it’s lovely and rich without being greasy and it smells gorgeous.
This is 99.9% natural and contains no parabens.
Skinfix hand repair cream
This makes the list because it really is a skin fixer. It’s designed for those with sensitive skin, so if you suffer with eczema, psoriasis or dermatitis this ones for you. It’s core ingredients are Shea butter, sweet almond oil and Vitamin E. Again this deeply moisturises the hands without leaving a greasy residue and it’s unscented.
Lanolips lano rose hand cream intense
This cream is lush. It’s rich, Nourishing and soothing and is designed for very dry hands, but you don’t have to have very dry hands to use this. Again like the rest of this selection, it feels lovely on the hands and doesn’t leave a greasy residue, just a silky smooth rose-scented finish. The main ingredients are triple lanolin and Rose oil. It contains no nasties ….no parabens, mineral oil, petroleum, artificial colours or sulphates. This is 98.59% pure.
Kiehls ultimate strength hand salve
This is described as a “heavy duty moisture treatment” for the driest of the dry. It’s packed with mega moisturising goodies like avocado, eucalyptus and sesame oil, blended into a wax derived from olive oil. It has a non descript scent and works to create a barrier between your hands and the environment.
Palmers coconut oil hand cream
This coconut oil and vitamin E infused cream is a winner because it smells good enough to eat while at the same time providing deep moisture and nourishment to your hands, all this without parabens, gluten, sulphates or any other nasties.
Crabtree and Evelyn La Source hand therapy
This multi-award winning hand cream is brilliant! It has the signature La Source scent to it and will leave your hands silky smooth. Rich in Shea butter, this cream will moisturise and condition your skin and it hasn’t got any nasties either!
