You know when you just find those two products that work so perfectly together? That compliment and enhance one another in such a way, it’s like they were made for each other. Here are some of our daytime dynamic duos …  products that we’ve found that go together like a dream in our routines.

Emma Hardie’s Amazing Face Prep and Prime SPF 30 and Vit C Intense Daily Serum

This lightweight vitamin c serum comes in an easy to use pump action canister. As you’d expect, it provides your skin with the potent antioxidant benefits of Vitamin C, helping to protect against the harmful UV rays of the sun and other causes of oxidation. This is a fairly low dose serum with only 2% Vitamin C which makes it a great way to start your Vitamin C journey. As a bonus, it contains vitamin b3 and essential oils like rose, geranium, lavender and sweet orange making this a fragrance and gorgeous serum.

This can be followed up with Emma Hardie’s prep and prime – these two have matching scents so work well. The prep and prime acts as a primer, moisturiser and most importantly, an SPF. As the days get warmer, we need protection from the sun and using a product with added SPF is very handy to keep us protected. It has the texture of an SPF – milky and quite thin and once it is massaged in it feels very velvety, so it makes a lovely canvas for your makeup. What also makes this primer so wonderful is the nourishing ingredients included in it – it contains oat extract and vitamin e to help protect and guard the skin from premature ageing, sun damage and environmental exposure. The classic Emma Hardie scent is a lot more subtle here, but it is pleasant enough and it will certainly give you a lovely luminous glow whilst also lifting and tightening the skin.

Origins Clear Improvement Body Scrub and Daughter of the Soil Shea Body Butter

If you are looking for silky smooth skin then this charcoal scrub from Origins is the perfect way to polish your body to perfection. It’s a finely milled blend of sea salt and brown sugar for polishing away rough skin and bamboo charcoal for lifting the debris from the skin. Its made for dry skin, but I think that it benefits all skin types. Once your skin is feeling silky smooth and exfoliated, it’s best to follow with a lush body butter to deeply moisturise this skin. This one from Daughter of the Soil pairs beautifully as a follow up to this.

Daughter of the Soil’s body butter is deeply nourishing and hydrating without leaving a greasy film. You can put your clothes on without worrying about leaving marks. Daughter of the Soil is passionate about paying it forward by ensuring that the legacy of Maria’s grandmother is carried forward. They have done this via the creation of a sustainable high-quality skincare business and by their inspiring community initiative ‘Connect the Dots’ which is an agricultural training program for women…love it!

Sjal Serum and Creme

The amazing serum from Sjal is like it’s been custom made for my skin: as soon as I put it on, it sinks in and my skin feels moist and supple AND there’s a radiant gleam as well. …truth be told on a couple of occasions I’ve even forgotten to use my moisturiser afterwards! I’m told that I have really good skin (thanks mom) but with this serum I think I have great skin! This is an anti-ageing serum so it contains many of the usual suspects like vitamin c, hyaluronic acid, as well as some more unexpected ingredients such as Själ’s proprietary gemstone blend containing amethyst, ruby, sapphire, diamond and tourmaline. I love the fact that Sjal harnesses the power of gemstones to bring their skincare products to life. Here’s our full review of this serum.

We’ve paired this with the lush crème from Sjal, which is perfect if you want to switch things up for summer by using a lighter but effective face cream or if you have combination to oily skin but don’t want to compromise on efficacy. This light yet rich positive ageing cream is packed with advanced brightening peptide , oil soluble vitamin c, själ rejuva complex™, platinum peptide , super oxide dismutase, red algae extract, matrixyl 3000. It’s ideal for detoxifying, brightening and pore minimising.
