We love discovering new brands and we found the brand Ayuna Beauty at Indie Beauty.

What’s to love

This range is very much an eco-luxe brand. They want to deliver luxury (which is something you can definitely feel with their packaging – it’s gorgeous and has a good weight to it) but they’re also committed to, and discuss at length, what they’re doing to be as eco-friendly as they can. Love it!

The products are no-fuss. They’re simple, effective products that work really well. Even the packaging is minimalist, but in this lies its elegance and I think that the packaging is quite beautiful.

About the Brand

What they say:

An evolutionary, scientific-botanical approach to cosmetics that favors simple beauty and WELL·AGING, a concept inspired by “less is more”. AYUNA represents the commitment to pure, effective, clean and safe cosmetics.”

Let’s talk about the individual products in the set.

Essence: High protein Cream in Oil peel

ayuna peel

This is unusual, but I quite like it.

It’s a 3 in 1 exfoliant that starts as a peel, then you can massage it in and the grains act as an exfoliant, gently polishing the skin. The product rolls off the skin. I like to massage the skin a little more to get all the goodness out, then rinse off any excess.

Skin is left feeling soft and nourished.

How to use

After cleaning, apply a thick layer over the skin. Allow to act for a few minutes, then buff the skin by gently swiping hands over the skin – the product rolls away and then you rinse away any excess, but I find that I like to massage in the excess as it feels like a serum.

Balm – Volcanic Revitalising Mask

The mask aims to draws out impurities, as well as helping to build up the skins ability to protect itself.

It dries down well, feels tight once dry but not too uncomfortable. I like that it dries down so quickly – within about 5 minutes. Once removed, the skin does feel fortified, something still remaining on the skin (but not in a bad way to help strengthen and protect). It’s wonderful.

What’s in it

  • Rich in Volcanic Glass and Active Carbon.
  • Also contains Pullulan, a natural sugar which creates a hydrating and tightening film, enhancing the skins ability to protect itself.

Described as ‘light and rich’ -which I certainly agree with. It feels very light but when you apply it, it leaves the skin feeling very moist It isn’t hugely glowy or matte, it just leaves the skin with a more satin finish.

What’s in it

Infused with Plasmas Rich in Botanical Cell Factors and Phyto-Peptides to improve skin texture, elasticity, wrinkles, redness and dark spots.

How to use

The brand says that this formula adapts to the circadian rhythms of the skin, acting as a makeup primer or protective shield during the day, whilst enhancing the skin’s natural repair and restore functions at night.

This is a great set for someone who loves luxury beauty and has the cash to splurge. These look beautiful on your table too!
