It is now officially Autumn! And with Autumn brings the colder weather… the wind can leave us with chapped, sore lips, which isn’t something anyone wants! So let’s talk about some lip products to keep your lips in tip-top condition… here are some of the WOW Beauty favourites. None of these will leave your lips feeling sticky – they will help keep your lips hydrated and protected.

Lanolips 101 Ointment

This is one of mine and Denise’s favourite lip products so this had to be included in our list. You can apply this in the morning and still feel it on my lips in the afternoon. It is super dense, the thickest of the ones on this list and is clear with pure Lanolin that closely resembles and mimics your own skin oils, hydrating and soothing everything from chapped lips, broken cuticles and minor burns, to eczema and psoriasis. It is free from sulfates, parabens, synthetic color and fragrance. A little goes a long way – even though I use my little tube very frequently it still hasn’t run out!

Carmex Ultra Moisturising Lip Balm SPF 15 – Pomegranate

If you want something with a little flavour, this one smells like pomegranate and is delicious on the lips. Carmex lip products is something I have been using since my teenage years and will continue to use it for years to come, it’s a household staple. It contains shea butter, lanolin and Vitamin E to prevent drying and chapping. It also contains SPF 15, which is a great added bonus.

 Sukin Paw Paw Ointment

This is a new offering from Sukin, replacing their lip treatment and we have been trying this recently and loving it. You can apply this to your face, hands and body and is sulphate and paraben free. This all-natural petrochemical free balm which contains Castor Seed Oil and Papaya Fruit Extract to hydrate and protect the skin’s moisture barrier is from the fabulous Organic Australian brand Sukin, ‘skincare that doesn’t cost the earth’. It is new to us but is quickly becoming an essential, it feels light on the lips but it feels very moisturising.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Lip Protectant Stick

Elizabeth Arden’s classic Eight Hour cream is in lipstick form, which is great for when you’re on the go and need a little hydration. This is their classic 8 hour skin protectant but in a stick form. It is enriched with skin softeners, sunscreen and vitamin E to treat dry chapped lips or to protect your lips against the sun and environment and will keep your lips feeling supple and soft.

Malin + Goetz Lip Moisturiser

This one has more of a gel-like consistency but not so much slip that it won’t stay on your lips. It contains absorbent fatty acids which nourish upon impact whilst providing a continuous layer of hydrating protection throughout the day. One of the key ingredients is hydrogenated polyisobutene, which nourishes and conditions the skin and leaves them looking healthy and hydrated.

 An honourary mention

We had to include this but sadly, our tube of this gorgeous product is finished and we’re picking up a new one soon… this is of course the Zelen’s lip oil. It contains 9 plant oils infused with powerful botanicals, vitamins and peptides to nourish and plump the lips. It feels more like a rich serum and we cannot get enough of it. The full review of this is here.

What are you going to use on your lips this Autumn to keep them at their best?
