Spring has sprung and you might just be in a bit of a skincare cleansing rut….been using the same old products for as long as you can remember and you are more than a bit bored! As you probably know, cleansing is one of the most important skincare practices and you need products that deliver effectively for your skin type or particular condition.
So we’ve put together some cleansers that you might just want to try (if you haven’t already of course). Many of these are great for all skin types, but they all work wonderfully on my combination skin… so see what works for you.

Zelens Glacier Foam
Key ingredients:
- Succinic Acid: An acid derived from a vegetable stock using sustainable yeast-based technology. Naturally present in mitochondria with an important role in the Krebs cycle.
- Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA): A blend of two fruit-derived AHA: tartaric acid and citric acid. Tartaric acid is derived from citrus fruits and demonstrates gentle exfoliating properties while helping to unclog pores blocked by dead skin cells, bacteria and sebum Citric acid is a mild AHA derived from grapefruit which promotes gentle exfoliation and accelerates skin renewal.
- Pumpkin enzymes: Pumpkin fruit (cucurbita maxima) is rich in vitamin A, beta-carotene and vitamin C. It shows antioxidant, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties.
- Apple: Protective, firming, restructuring, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
- Shiso (Perilla frutescens): Rich in polyphenols and triterpenoids. Demonstrates excellent antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-allergic properties.
- Lemon: Rich in citric acid and citroflavonoids. Possesses strong antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, astringent, toning and brightening properties.
- Grape (Vitis vinifera): Rich in polyphenols (anthocyanins, flavanols, flavonols and resveratrol). Demonstrates strong antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-pollution and regenerative properties, and also supports collagen and elastin production.
- Aloe Vera: Moisturising, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, antioxidant, soothing and wound healing.
Best for combination skin.

Kahina Facial Cleanser
If you are looking for a cleanser that delivers effective cleansing without depleting your natural moisture or stripping the skins protective barrier, then you’ll like this from natural beauty brand Kahina.
This is a lovely, light and gently effective cleanser that harnesses the power of Argan oil supported by blue tansy, neroli oil and aloe bringing high concentrations of Vitamin E and fatty acids coupled with organic willow bark and papaya extracts….all working to nourish and protect.

This lovely enzymatic cleansing balm offers a deeper clean without stripping the skin. It is rich and thick, and I find that it gives a nice clean with a light exfoliation element, good for when you need that deeper clean, but it feels lovely, creamy and nourishing on the skin too. The exfoliating element does not only come from the clay in this balm (which gives it that dark colour) but they also have fruit enzymes for natural exfoliation…. Love.
