Beauties, another month has flown by in the blink of an eye!

Even though it’s been a short month, it’s been a busy one but of course we’re here to share with you the products that stood out to us over the month… the ones we found ourselves reaching for over all others.

cantu define and shine custard

Cantu Shea Butter for Natural Hair Define & Shine Custard

This is a family favourite! My mum has enjoyed using this custard after reading rave reviews of it and I recently finally bought myself a pot to try out. It’s got a nice light texture and really delicious scent, but it also gives really great hold for curly hair… particularly if you like to give your curls proper definition with a crunchy cast which you later scrunch out.

It leaves the hair feeling great and really defined.

S5 Skincare Replenish Serum

Yes… this is not a new item, in fact it was something I first found a year or so ago, but recently I rediscovered my love for it… perhaps because it just feels so hydrating during these cold winter months.

This serum is designed to reduce dryness in the skin with a beautiful combination of Sea Buckthorn oil, Rosehip Oil and Biomimetic Lipids to moisturise your skin and lock that all in. It’s a serum-oil texture, which I really enjoy as it feels great on the skin and has a beautiful orange colour.

This works even better when you mix a couple of drops into your moisturiser and allow them to work together, giving your regular moisturiser a power boost.

This product has been discontinued but has been reformulated in the brand Adaptology

Ecooking Multi Balm

I love a good multi-purpose balm most of the time but to be honest, at this time of year I absolutely positively have to have one near me at all times.
This works well and feels good pretty much everywhere: personally I love it on my lips, cuticles and elbows. This is a fairly thick ointment style balm, that is unscented and non sticky, it just feels quite pure and quite nourishing. I love using it on my lips as it doesn’t leave them feeling sticky or heavy, just soft hydrated and very nourished…plus I don’t need to keep reapplying it. It works equally well everywhere else too, leaving your skin feeling super silky, moisturised and nourished. Love the fact that this is fragrance free and jam packed with some of my fave skin care ingredients like Shea butter and vitamin E.

Inlight Lip Serum

This lip serum has the texture of the lip oil and glides onto the lips with ease making them feel instantly soft and silky and moisturised with a gorgeous gleam. The brand says: “The consistency, purpose and performance of a Lip Serum has a different function to a waxy Lip Balm; it is designed as a regular conditioning treatment”

As you would expect with in light this lip serum is loaded with skin loving ingredients designed to replenish and nourish the skin on the lips (which apparently have no sebaceous glands to protect them) ingredients like sea buckthorn oil, baobab oil, rosehip oil, calendula extract and star Anise essential oil.

As with all of InLights skincare this:

  • Has a high concentration of phyto-nutrients
  • All bio-active plant extracts produced in-house
  • Is 100% organic, free from synthetics and chemical fragrances
