Beauties, what have you been loving this month? Here are some of the products that we’ve absolutely loved in the month of May… we’d love to know yours!
Casa Mencarelli’s SOLE E MARE – Sea Buckthorn Serum
I’m loving this stuff. It’s a serum, but it looks like a rich oil because of the gorgeous colour. Love how it makes my skin feel – it sinks in beautifully and makes the skin glow without looking greasy or oily. It is rich in antioxidants like Beta Carotene, vitamins E and essential fatty acids Omega 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, to help repair and regenerate damaged skin.
I also love the scent of it!
Mavala Mini Crystal Nail Polish Remover
At a recent Mavala event I discovered that this heritage brand is one of the original ‘clean’ nail brands…and their nail polishes are ’12 free’…no nasties anywhere! This is a great eco-friendly nail polish remover that doesn’t have a scent and is also acetone-free…it leaves your nails feeling loved… Love it!

NIOD Myrrh Clay
This treatment masque borrows from a triangle of Ayurvedic, Unani and traditional Chinese studies of medicine – love it! It aims to tighten the skin. Myrrh Clay combines a highly-purified myrrh with isolated polyphenols from strawberry leaves (Ayurveda) and concentrated Wu Zhu Yu (from traditional Chinese medicine), all supporting a visible firming effect in a nutrient base of humic-rich peat and Indian Multani Mitti clay
S5 Skincare Renew Eye Cream
The eye cream is designed to reduce dark circles, puffiness and the appearance of wrinkles. The founder Laura is very respectful of sensitive and sensitised skin, which is something that you can really see in this eye cream. It’s gentle, which is perfect for the particularly delicate area of the eye, while still feeling like it’s doing something. This is a light creamy serum, that sinks easily into the skin, leaving it moisturised without any shine or residue. It will take a bit longer to tell you about its effect on fine lines.
Skin Alchemists The Humble Warrior Complete Cleansing Oil
This is one of those products whose name is perfectly suited to what it does rather like the name ‘Skin Alchemists’ is perfectly suited to this recently launched brand. This is one of those mindful moment products… a beautiful oil cleanser at it’s core…that also happens to be multipurpose because of the blend of potent oils known for their healing and cleansing qualities. It can be used as a scalp oil, a massage oil, a beard oil etc…so you can see why the name ‘The humble Warrior’ is so apt. They describe it is as a ‘moment to anoint your skin, transport you to the now and battle skin fatigue’…I love that…I also love the fact that this brand has it’s roots firmly planted in the traditional herbal remedies of St Lucia in the Caribbean and focuses on sourcing the best ingredients from there and further afield. There’s so much more to say so watch this space for the full review and ‘Founders Talk’ interview with its Founder Theresa.
