I have a confession to make… I’ve been known to walk around with chipped nail varnish and although I’m not proud of it – it’s through no fault of my own (I promise). I believe it’s partly down to the countless amount of quite rubbish nail varnishes I have purchased in the past. So I to admit I was a bit sceptical and hesitant to try out HJ Manicure.

The set I tried came in 3 gorgeous colours all different from each other, Caramel Latte, Vintage Bronze and Subzero. I have to say I was sold just from the names and I like to think each colour could represent a different mood.

Quite recently I’ve become an obsessed fan with neutral/nude nail polishes so I opted to try out the Caramel Latte straight away. The first thing that I noticed and instantly loved was how narrow the brush was which made the application much more easier and less messy than what I have experienced in the past. With it’s pink undertone, Caramel Latte is perfect for the summer time or if you’re just looking for a simple everyday colour.

However if want a colour that will make your nails pop, I found that Vintage Bronze was perfect. It has just the right amount of shimmer – not too much, not too little and it’s richness in colour definitely made it live up to it’s name. Vintage Bronze will definitely suit every skin tone and is great to throw on your nails before a night out.

Subzero was the colour that surprised me the most as it ended up becoming my favourite. Dark grey wouldn’t usually be my go to colour but I found it to be very flattering and a perfect colour for autumn/winter.

With all the colours I found that they dried very quickly, which is rare especially when adding more than one coat and they didn’t have that harsh nail varnish smell which could be down to it being free from toxins. For someone who chips their nails after 1 day, HJ Manicure has definitely restored my faith in nail polishes. Thank you Helen J.
