Trish McEvoy intense gel eyeliner in black – there’s one makeup item that I can’t live without and that’s my black khol pencil. Okay let me start again. There are 3 makeup items that I can’t live without: mascara, lip balm and a black khol pencil. Now when it comes to khol pencils I’ve tried so many over the years ….skinny, fat, waterproof, soft, hard you name it I’ve tried it. I first tried this Trish McEvoy pencil 5 or 6 years ago, and I’ve had one in my makeup bag ever since.

The thing I love most about it is that it’s super soft thanks to its gel formulation, which means that whether I apply it to my waterline or my eyelids, it simply glides on and blends easily.

The second thing that I really love about this pencil is that when blended it has a subtle silvery black shimmer….gorgeous. The last thing that I love about this pencil is that once it’s on its on….it last really well thanks to its waterproof formula.

Now I realise that as with most things, what I love about this pencil might not work for everyone. Eg. Some might not want a subtle shimmer and Some might find the pencil too soft.
Also this pencil doesn’t last as long as I’d like so I try to resist using it daily because at £22.00 it can be a costly makeup addiction.

Tips:
If you have oily eyelids use an eye makeup primer prior to using the pencil
If you’re a contact lens wearer, it’s not great on the waterline
If you want to blend it work quickly as once it’s dry it won’t move.

So there you have it, I’ve shared why I love this pencil and I’d love to know what you think of it.

This pencil comes in black, aubergine and blue available for £22.00
