You probably know by now that we are oil lovers here at Wow Beauty… we don’t need much of an excuse to wax lyrical about oils, whether they are for face or body. So let’s talk about some new Cleansing Oils that we’ve been loving.

Votary Super Seed Cleansing Oil – Chia and Parsley Seed

Votary has been ticking all of our boxes recently! With its gorgeous body treatment oil, Votary seems to be leading the way with quality, effective oil-based skincare… and we’re loving it.

This cleanser is designed for skin which is sensitive, hormonal or showing signs of ageing… but even though it’s gentle, it still does wonders for the skin.

This cleansing oil is made from 21 superseed oils, which gives this a rich and gorgeous texture.

It contains parsley, chia, sunflower, grapeseed, apricot, kernel, camellia, hemp, pumpkin, pomegranate, linseed, melon, raspberry, blueberry and carrot, working together to restore the skin’s balance and reduce irritation. It’s 100% natural so no nasties here!

I even put it to the test by using it to remove a full face of makeup and it rose to the challenge! It was also gentle enough to use around the eye area, which is something I always greatly appreciate.

My skin was left feeling clean and more importantly, nourished, without feeling stripped. It also didn’t feel like I was left with an oily film on my face. It also has a really nice good quality flannel with every bottle.

Clarifying Cleansing Oil

This oil is specially formulated for skins that are prone to breakouts and blemishes, which my skin isn’t: but it is combination to oily and occasionally disgraces me with a blackhead. My logic is that if it’s designed to prevent blemishes and nourish at the same time… it’s a win-win.

As a lover of oils for pretty much everything, I couldn’t wait to use this and I wasn’t disappointed. Do you know what I really love about this? The fact that it delivers on its promise to offer a deep effective cleansing experience without drying my skin out. Ultimately, this means that your skin won’t feel the need to compensate by creating more oil. Plus let’s not forget the fact that oil is good at attracting oil, so a well-formulated oil cleanser is a really good choice.

This lush oil smells amazing thanks to containing a range of skin loving ingredients…I know that I always say this but it really does encourage ‘Mindful cleansing’,. You just want to keep massaging your face and inhaling the fragrance of Rosemary and Bergamot.

Key ingredients are

Oat oil or Avena Sativa as its officially known: is really a powerhouse ingredient rich in skin-boosting vitamins A, B & E as well as zinc and calcium. It’s also known for its bacteria-busting ability (so you can see why it’s a great one for breakout prone skin) Lastly, it’s antifungal, great for eczema as it moisturises and relieves itching as well as being a deep moisturiser.

Peach oil: which is extracted from the peach kernel is another vitamin-packed oil namely A, B & E Vitamin E is especially good as it’s a potent antioxidant. This oil is particularly good for those concerned with protecting their skin from the effects of ageing as it contains varieties of polyunsaturated fatty acids which are great for maintaining skin elasticity. Lastly, it’s good for unblocking pores.

Jojoba oil: Jojoba oil is a very skin friendly oil because it’s waxy structure is very similar to the natural oils of our skin, this means that it moisturises deeply and is one of the easiest oils for the skin to absorb. And yes, it’s also full of nutrients and antioxidants. As well as its moisturising and nourishing qualities, it has the ability to fight bacteria on the skin as well. Oh yes and it’s good for sensitive skins too.
