Last year we talked about 5 desktop saviours and we thought it was about time we had an update! With life being so busy and autumn now upon us, it’s about time we refocused and made sure we all had things that help make those particularly busy/stressful days a little easier. Here are some of the things that support me during the day, things I reach for nearly every day and couldn’t be without!

Your eyes can grow tired from staring at the screen for hours on end (I know mine do…) so give your eyes a boost with this mask from Rich Eye Zone Care Pack from DHC. This eye mask is packed with gentle but powerful multipeptides to support collagen, antioxidant-rich olive fruit oil and deeply hydrating hyaluronic acid. Once you’re finished, you can just massage the remaining serum into your under-eye area – sheet masks are perfect for use on the go and in the office as there’s no messy removal process… I love the results this gives me instantly and I feel refreshed… it’s also perfect to use when you know you’re going to after-work drinks and want to give your skin a boost!

This Chia Serum from Perricone MD adds moisture and leaves my skin feeling nourished and supple, which is always a winner for me… plus I love the glow that it leaves my skin with. It doesn’t feel greasy at all. Chia oil is of course one of the main ingredients and is considered to be one of the highest plant sources of Omega 3 fatty acids. This serum also has a formulation of fat soluble vitamins mixed in to add to its potency. We’ve got a full review of this gorgeous serum here.

I can’t go without the Tisserand De-Stress Roller Ball! It is perfect for those particularly hectic days. This zesty Orange, floral Rose & Geranium & warming Nutmeg essential oil blend helps to uplift the spirits – all you need to do is apply this roller ball to your pulse points and exhale! It’s also so tiny I’ll pop it in my handbag when I’m on the go too… ready for me if I’m needing a little extra support.

Something I always have on me no matter where I go is a lip balm, and sitting at my desk is no exception to this rule. The Burts Bees Ultra Conditioning Lip Balm with Kokum Butter keeps my lips feeling soft and supple. It is made with 100% natural ingredients with no added added flavours or fragrances.

You know I love a good face mist and the Emma Hardie Plump and Glow Facial Mist has been carrying me through the last few months in the office. This hydrates the skin thanks to the inclusion of Hyaluronic acid which we all love because it’s a powerful tool for positive ageing that can help to improve your skin’s moisture content and at the same time strengthen skin’s defence barrier. As an added bonus, Hyaluronic acid provides antioxidant defense against free-radical damage. It also contains skin soothers in the form of Aloe Vera, and added moisture and tone is provided to the skin by Wild Watermint. It feels lovely and hydrating and for those of you beauties out there who have aircon in their office… this is an essential must-have to keep your face feeling fresh and glowing! Make your space your own. Spray this Neom ‘Make You Happy’ mist around you to create an uplifting atmosphere. This one from Neom is a mix of Neroli, mimosa & lemon plus 4 other essential oils which aims to help you balance your emotions and make you feel more positive. Don’t underestimate the power of scent to change the atmosphere around you!

No workspace is complete without a handcream to keep your hands supple and soft when typing away. This luscious hand and cuticle cream from Prismologie wants you indulge yourself, to ‘wrap yourself up in a cocoon of pink’. The rose has a delicate aroma that will lift your mood, the scent lasts well on the skin without being too sickly or overpowering and the hands are left feeling gorgeously moisturised. It’s really rich and deeply hydrating.

It’s not always just the hands that I find can get dry throughout the day. I find that my elbows can get quite dry from leaning them on my desk… I just rub a little of Black Chicken’s Balm of Ages and viola! I’ll feel soft and moisturised once again. It contains 19 deeply penetrative and regenerative ingredients, which is ideal for soothing dry or irritated skin, reliving sunburn, healing scrapes and even melting make up.

Harking back to the olden days where the fainting women were awoken by smelling salts… when I’m feeling like I’m starting to lose focus I crack out the Therapie Roques O’Neil’s Crystal Clear Smelling Salts! I open up the pot of gorgeous pink Amethyst & quartz chips and inhale… the mixture of essential oils instantly sharpens the mind and brings clarity.

So there it is! Some of my Autumn Desktop Saviours. Let us know what helps sustain you all day, we’d love to hear what you love to use to help you through the busy working day.
