We’re obsessed with Sofia Latif’s Eye Oil

So …meet your new obsession. Eye oil.  Yes…I said eye oil and why not? After all we’re pretty obsessed about face oils ….so let me introduce you to the addictive Sofia Latif Eye Oil.

I have to be honest about two things: a – that even though I’m a face and body oil addict… I’d never really been keen on an eye oil …I think that deep down I was afraid of contact lens horrors as I imagined the oil warming up and slowly migrating into my eyes [honestly you have to be a contact lens wearer to understand this]  and B- I’d only ever tried one other eye oil before trying this one – and it didn’t thrill me…at all.

So, when Sofia sent me her rather special eye oil to try…I delayed. I seriously dilly dallied (my worries over oily eyes took over) and then I finally  decided to try it…I took the lid off…rolled a bit on my hand and inhaled …scent is very important to me and I really like the earthy scent of this.

The next thing I did was to roll it back and forth under my left eye which deposited a lot of this lush oil …enough to last at least 2 or 3 applications [ this is what happens when you choose not to read the instructions which clearly state ‘gently’ roll: in fact I like applying the oil to my finger first and then applying to my eyes]

Well let me tell you something: l really like using this …it works brilliantly …no oil migration…no shiny eye area, just moisturised, plumped up skin. No surprise that it was commended in this years Beauty Shortlist Awards!

Anyway you need to know that this is an easy to use, non-running, silky smooth oil. and it just sinks into your skin… it just vanishes  and leaves the eye area feeling silky, soft and nourished. Not heavy, just moisturised and well… silky [yes I know that I’ve used the word silky three times]

What’s to love

This is a lovely alternative to an eye cream. The texture… the lovely light feel. The effect on the skin…plumped up and nourished. A little goes a long way.

What’s not to love

It does have a few fragrance ingredients which may be a little irritating to the skin including Citronellol, Limonene, Citral and Geraniol but they’re so low down in the ingredients list they shouldn’t be too much of a problem.
